and the answer s '' i like playing BM'' . Generally beating those MM and surv hunters btw but i m sure that a well played MM or surv does more damage.
BM is an easy spec to play.Only tricky side is keeping pet alive because it does %30 of my damage and if it dies i lose more than %30(around %45) my damage because of the talents that let us buff each other(me and my pet).

testing 3 point @ cobra strikes instead of maximizing mortal shots but couldn t see any difference.

Pet: I m using a Wolf as a BM.Because whether you are MM-SURV or BM you do more damage than your pet,and that attack power buff coming from wolf is priceless.Wolf is my best choice for trash mobs,after few tests devilsaur seems to be a little better
than a wolf for boss fights because of it s self buffing special attack but there s not too much difference to change your pet for any reason for boss or trash i think.

As a BM you need attack power and critical strike rating on every items as much as u can get because crit is too important for a bm to keep pet-hunter buff synergy and 1/4 of your attack power goes to your pet.
Enchants : check my armory pls
Gems: always choose +40 attack power over any gem.there are some exceptions btw
1-if u r not hitcapped put +hit
2-if there s an yellow socket and you are hitcapped go for attack power and crit one also u can choose +40 attack power for those yellow sockets too,this is my choice because i like socket bonuses
3- +10 all stat prismatic gem---try to use it in a blue socket also if that item has a 1 red socket and a nice socket bonus(especially att pow)
Arm Pen or Haste for BM:
I m sure if u r playing hunter it s the most common sentence u can see around''bm hunters haste capped with their talents already'' that means lowering steady shots cd under 1.5 sec to make your shot rotation more effective.
If BM could share arm pen with it s pet it could solve that nerf on them but armor penetration only effects hunters.Armor penetration is not too effective unless you have huge amounts of it for a hunter. i prefer arm pen over haste,but getting items that has attack power and critical rating is my priority.
Shot rotation:
it s the easiest part for a BM
1-keep serpent sting all the time up(as i told before serpent glyph is over a hawk glyph for me.reason :shooting few more arcane or steady instead of refreshing serpent is better)
2-arcane shot whenever it s cd off
3-spam steady shot
optional--u can choose to shot few multishots if there r 2-3 mobs.
Agroo---Bm is sharing dps with it s pet so you generally doesn t have any agroo problem but if your pet s in defensive stance(that i generally use to save time for switching mobs)it can automatically attacks another mob that deal damage to it.it can result as losing your pet(%100 less damage for 10sec to revive pet also your pet gonna lose buffs on it that means losing lots of dps:_( .So if u need to focus on 1 mob(especially bosses) try to put it passive.But stealing agroo from a tank s almost impossible because of md and sharing damage with pet.
